Recently Ben and Tripp from IFTTT had me on their livestream podcast to talk about how I use IFTTT. Always a fun time to geek out and talk about content creation, automation, and of course CATS

Hey, everyone! Today we’re connecting with a long-time IFTTTer, Twitch Streamer, and content creator, Sam Proof. Sam runs multiple successful Twitch accounts, YouTube accounts, and a business helping others livestream as well! Join us as we talk about what life’s like as a streamer and what IFTTT Applets Sam has set up to make his life easier. Check Sam out here on IFTTT: https://ifttt.com/samproof

I have over 200 IFTTT Applets (and two different accounts, one for SamProof and one for CuteAvalanche) doing things like changing lights in my studio to alert me to new Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, and other followers to complex things like multi-action functions that connect both incoming and outgoing webhooks to announce donations from the CuteAvalanche WordPress site to show an onscreen message on the Twitch live stream.

FREE IFTTT Applet for LiveStreamers

Here is a great applet for streamers to start with

My Co-Host recently asked me how I created automatic updates on Discord when I go live on Twitch.

In IFTTT for IFTTT select your streaming platform (Twitch or YouTube)

Select the ‘New stream started by you’ event

and for THAT select Discord

and ‘Post a message to a channel’ OR ‘Post a rich message to a channel’
IFTTT by default enters pretty much all the variables you could want, but you could update it with your own language

OR Just use this version I created: Share a NOW LIVE Message on Discord when you go live on Twitch Applet

and use CODE VALENTINES for 20% off for a limited time!
