Mad Max was one of the first gateway apocalypses I experience that forever solidified me need for life after people.

I have been waiting with baited breath for a continuation of the series and this new franchise had me worried that it might never find completion or would just suck.

Mad Max: Fury Road has been in development since 2003… 2003 people! ten fucking years. Production finally began filming in 2012 a release date had never been set. Basically this was always a ship headed toward failure on a big australian desert sea. But alas my friends… To I bring you Mad Max Fury Road the Trailer. set for a 2015 release!

This looks to hold true to the original series in style, and what appears to be a glorious lack of CG! But don’t take my word for it.

Watch and tell me, ARE OU EXCITED?!

Mad Max: Fury Road has been in development since 2003. Since then, the film has fluctuated from “could happen” to “pipe dream” and back again. Even after the production began filming in 2012, a release felt uncertain with the film plagued by setbacks.

Today, the first trailer for the Mad Max: Fury Road is available, and it looks like a film not from 2014 or even 2003, but 1973 — in the best possible way. The footage is full of practical effects, and computer animation is used to supplement and embellish images of real cars tearing through the desert at lethal speeds. Where its contemporaries would use CG to fill the frame, Mad Max: Fury Road appears to be using real humans and steel.
