Klout, Kred & Influence: An introduction
Chances are you’ve already heard of Klout. There’s also a good chance that unless you make your lively hood by creating web content you may actually not really know much about it.
Klout.com, as well as Kred.com and Influenster.com are all sites that measure aspects of your influence via social media. Simply put they look at how well you’re tweeting, facebooking, instagramming, etc.
You put a tweet out there and it gets retweeted, replied to and your Klout score (potentially) increases.
All three of these companies have another thing in common which is SWAG!
Yes if you’re score is high enough, you are offered a freebie from a company.
Klout generally has demands but hope’s you’ll tweet, hashtag and say something lovely about the product they’ve just sent you. Occasionally you’ll have to visit a website before you’re perk is shipped.
Influenster typically has a small list of tasks, including tweeting and hashtagging, visiting a website and leaving a review.
Kred… well I’ve yet to see a Kred offer I wanted to jump on yet, so I’m actually not 100% sure what the process is like. But I assume it’s similiar to the above.
In the coming weeks I’ll be exploring these sites and what they offer a little more throughly.
So what have I gotten?
