How to Convert Your Old Stickam Videos
If you’re like me Stickam’s closing left you with a ton of weird files. Depending on how long you’ve been on Stickam you’ll either have .F4Vs or .FLVs.
There are a couple things that are going to happen now, aside from you kicking and punching things.
First if you’re on a PC (or linux machine), than congratulations you’re in better shape than I am on my mac. Adobe has a program called ‘F4V Post Processor’ that should help you out.
If you’re on a mac – oddly enough, try uploading your file to Vimeo.
I’ve heard from a few people that this solution has worked. I suspect it will only work on one of the files types.
• Also – VLC has proven to at the very least play the files. Most of my own files are pretty long and VLC convert nearly at real time, so I’ve yet to sit through that experience.
I’ll update this entry as I try other things.
Remember: if you haven’t downloaded your old stickam files, you only have a few days left.
